Issue 43: Investigate a cross "make test" with wine and MinGW

Reported by Nicola Fontana, May 22, 2010

By using wine, it should be possible (at least theoretically) to do
a "make check" while cross-building for windows.

After the commit f5ae7c964aedd4de837c53880a5cc5f7c445d263, the test
programs are properly created but not executed.

gtester (extensively used by "make check") requires POSIX
signal handling APIs, so it is not built by default on Mingw: the
relevant automake directives in GLib are wrapped by "if
OS_UNIX" and "endif". In other words, it is actually
not possible to execute "make check" by using wine.
